U.S. Lawmakers Adopts Blockchain To Combat Infectious Fungal Diseases https://ift.tt/2vopM6H

A group of U.S. lawmakers has proposed the creation of a blockchain pilot as a part of wider efforts to combat infectious fungal diseases.

The news recently came out from Congressional Valley Fever Task Force, with the legislation being presented by Kevin McCarthy and David Schweikert along with its representatives Martha McSally, Karen Bass and Kyrsten Sinema.

The two parties’ bill is intended for improving research and taking action around coccidioidomycosis, which is commonly known as valley fever compared to other widespread fungal diseases.

According to the forward action, the measure calls for a blockchain pilot is aiming at refining the techniques in which medicinal practitioners can share info. The idea is that by improving the rapidity at such data which is encouraged, doctors are prepared better to handle potentially life-or-death circumstances including catching diseases.

Blockchain-based systems have the perspective to decrease or remove the resistance and expenses of current mediators. It would also decrease difficulty, support trustless collaboration, create safe and unchallengeable information. To shape blockchain’s future, the US government must study mapping and assemble the blockchain ecosystem.

About Valley Fever

Valley fever is an infection caused in the lungs due to a fungus living in the soil. According to the Prevention, roughly more than 11,000 cases are reported in the U.S. every year, and most of them initiated from Arizona and California.

According to the news published in Coin Desk, there is another opportunity, investing in a blockchain project such as Newton NCP or raising money for medical and scientific projects which would aid fund research. This technology could offer a new model for health information exchanges (HIE) by making electric medical records more well-organized, disintermediated, and protected. While it is not just a solution, this new and rapidly evolving field offers fertile ground for experimentation, investment, and proof-of-concept testing.
