Equity Shares Update: S&P BSE Oil And Gas Index Trades Down; Reliance Industries, Petronet LNG, Oil India Among Laggards

S&P BSE Oil & Gas index down 1 percent in Equity Shares; RIL,Petronet LNG dip

The S&P BSE Oil and Gas index in equity shares market was exchanging 1.06 percent down at 13,107.29 with its parts exchanging on a blended note.

Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 3.07 percent), Indraprastha Gas (up 1.47 percent) and Indian Oil Corporation (up 0.53 percent) were the best gainers in the file.

BPCL (down 2.57 percent), HPCL (down 2.07 percent), ONGC (down 1.63 percent), Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.46 percent) and Reliance Industries (RIL) (down 1.43 percent) were the best failures in the list.

Shares of Oil India (down 1.30 percent), Castrol India (down 1.13 percent), Indraprastha Gas (down 0.92 percent) and GAIL (India) (down 0.76 percent) too were enduring losses.

Reliance Industries (down 3.54 percent), Petronet LNG (down 2.14 percent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 2.13 percent) and Oil India (down 1.63 percent), showed up among the laggards.

In equity shares market, Petronet LNG (up 0.14 percent), however, was up with ostensible increases. Shares of Indraprastha Gas (down 1.32 percent), Reliance Industries (down 1.13 percent), Oil India (down 0.45 percent) and BPCL (down 0.24 percent) were also among the losers.

Benchmark BSE Sensex was 378 down at 38,014, while the NSE Nifty50 record was down 124 at 11,465. Market sentiment continued negative in the absence of any confident trigger amid the constant capital losses.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty record, 18 were exchanging the green, while 32 were in the red. In the Sensex record, six stocks were progressing and 25 were declining. Pivot Bank, Infosys, and YES Bank were among the gainers in the Sensex list. Sun Pharma, Vedanta and Mahindra, and Mahindra were among the best failures in the Sensex kitty of stocks.

Equity shares of JP Associates, Reliance Comm, Dewan Housing, YES Bank, Adani Power, Suzlon Energy, L&T Fin Holding, South Indian Bank, and SREI Infra Fin were among the most exchanged securities on the NSE, according to the report of Economic Times.
