LocalBitcoinCash.org Added German Language Support (Thanks Axel Gembe!)

LocalBitcoinCash.org is very thankful to Axel Gembe for helping translate the site for the German audience. It is people like him that inspires and motivates us to keep working on promoting Bitcoin Cash, onboard new users, and grow the BCH ecosystem.

When LocalBitcoinCash was first started, it was never meant to just allow people to buy/sell Bitcoin Cash with one another. “Local” means users can buy/sell/trade goods and services in a localize way, and as a result of that, create demand for Bitcoin Cash and onboard new users into the Bitcoin Cash economy. I believe the trends is towards gig economy, think Uber or Deliveroo or Fiverr, the new generation loves freedom and autonomy to earn their living. And LocalBitcoinCash is a really good way to facilitate that freedom and allows users to trade their goods/services with each other freely, without borders or requiring a business bank account. The part that I actually envisioned is to create incentives to onboard people who were never interested in cryptocurrencies, to be incentivized to join the Bitcoin Cash economy anyway. Who doesn’t want to make extra pocket money during their spare time?

I see myself firing up LocalBitcoinCash app, search for an aircon servicing guy or on demand cleaner or maybe plumber, the app will return a result of all nearby users providing the service based on my GPS location. I choose the suitable service provider near me, scan my BCH wallet to deposit the necessary funds, and the plumber will receive a notification on his app. Within few minutes, he’s on my door step to fix my problem for me. I guess that’s one way to bank the unbanked in less developed countries. I see LocalBitcoinCash as a way where people can trade goods/services with each other directly, freely without borders, and participate in the Bitcoin Cash economy because they are incentivized to do so. That’s why LocalBitcoinCash has the Shopping/Work/Services section. Unfortunately these sections wasn’t done properly right now, the UI/UX is absolutely horrible right now. Hopefully we can get that fixed up in the coming months and start onboarding new users into the Bitcoin Cash economy more aggressively.

This should create new value and demand for Bitcoin Cash and everyone should be better off in the long run.
