Turing Complete Charlatan, Prof. Faux can't do high school math.

https://twitter.com/ProfFaustus/status/1055956011025080320

Prof Faux is saying that if sats are further divisible by keeping halving and moving decimal places, there will be more coins.

Did Prof. Faux ever learned what is a geometric series in those high schools down under?

Lets consider what happens if we keep block rewards forever accessible. We have 210,000 blocks in a halving, and halvings just go forever, 50 coins, then 25, 12.5, ... . Total of coins?

total = 210,000 x (50 + 25 + 12.5 + ...) = 210,000 x 50 x (1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + ...)

The infinite sum S = 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + ... evaluates to 1/(1 - 1/2) = 2, thus

total = 210,000 x 50 x 2 = 21,000,000

Abracadabra! It is magic! /s ...

So the people moving the decimal point to account for quantities below 1 sat are not creating any inflation whatsoever.

But don't let high school math get in your way to badmouth ABC and everybody else!!
