Bitcoin Cash Association is Happy to Announce it Will Financially Support the EatBCH Initiative

EatBCH is an initiative to turn BCH donations into food for people in need. It was started in Venezuela and has rapidly expanded to more locations including many in South Sudan, and has already done incalculable good for people in need. The EatBCH initiatives exemplifies the power of Bitcoin Cash to do enormous good in the world. We have had close contact with both parts of the EatBCH project and we know how hard they are working. We are also acutely aware of the financial problems that the bear market can cause on a crypto-only project.

Starting now the BCA will support the EatBCH initiative with $1000 per month in funding to go towards helping feed people that are most in need. The $1000 will be split evenly between the Venezuelan and South Sudanese parts of the project. We hope that this funding can provide a solid foundation that they can rely on. This will also have a direct impact on adoption in these areas, especially as the projects develop further relationships with suppliers that accept BCH as payment, and therefore aligns fully with our goal of global adoption.

We request that other major entities in the space match this funding so that BCH can have a huge and direct impact on many people lives right now. We will happily connect you with the organisers so that you can discuss this with them.

We are also currently having a plugin for Electron Cash developed that will reduce the admin burden on these projects allowing them to be more transparent with their finances. This will of course be completely open source for anyone to use.

We want to thank everyone involved in the EatBCH project for all their hard work. You are all doing something very very special, and we hope that the initiative continues to gain momentum to help people around the world. Keep it up!
