Ohioans Can Start Cryptocurrency Trading By Using Robinhood App

Robinhood unveils operation in Ohio by unveiling cryptocurrency trading app

Online broker Robinhood has now extended its wing to Ohio after introducing cryptocurrency trading app in Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Rhode Island. This is an attempt of the United States-based financial service company to help its users get rid of the key middlemen.

The California-based fintech start-up is already popular for its zero-fee trading platform. The company has dedicated all its efforts to build an independent clearing system in the last two years. The said independent clearing system will allow it to settle and clear transactions and give custody for the assets.

A recent tweet from the company announced that its cryptocurrency trading app is ready for the Ohioans for trading without any digital currency commission charges. The users of the apps can trade some of the digital currencies such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum Classic.

Robinhood now caters to over 6 million customers. Before the development of proprietary clearing system, Robinhood used to depend on a third party. An effort of near to 100 people has been given to create the proprietary clearing system, as reported by CCN.

On the other hand, the crypto lovers will be glad to know that Robinhood has decided to lower or remove even more small and frustrating fees. For instance, while the reversal fees earlier used to cost $30 USD, now they will be charging only $9 USD, Bitcoin Exchange Guide noted. The tax documents and the monthly account statement systems were totally redesigned so that it becomes easier for the users to use, Bitcoin Exchange Guide noted. The customer support has also been improved to assist clients with any type of issue so that they get faster responses from the support team.

Apart from Ohio, Robinhood has already provided the commission-free cryptocurrency trading services to Indiana, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Montana, California, Florida, Michigan, Virginia, New Mexico, Missouri, Wisconsin, Utah, New Jersey, Iowa, Utah, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.
